Benitez had the priviledge to work along side with three other team members in developing a prototype through Adobe XD. The design team worked on a new Course Registration system at the University of Northern Iowa. Through this project he and his team interviewed students with lived experience and directly used the feedback to develop a better system. At the end of the project Benitez help led the presentation in front of stakeholders along with his colleagues.

Through this class he also learned:

  1. Learned the principles of goal directed design and design thinking.
  2. A greater understanding of the primary customer experience in the digital market.
  3. Researched, conceptualized, designed, communicated and test a digital customer experience prototype.
  4. Conducted a usability test and modify experience based on user feedback. 

Benitez also completed the following assignments to put many of the lessons into practice. 

  1. Developed a persona to humanize the digital experience to stakeholders. 
  2. Developed a customer journey map to show users experience from the discovery stage to the final stage.
  3. Benitez also produced concept models, persona and wireframes to help get a sense of direction of the digital experience. 
  4. Benitez is also certified in Adobe XD.

The Teams Final Prototype

Throughout the fall semester our team worked collaboratively in getting a course registration system together. Our team believes this system is the best system for student needs at the University of Northern Iowa. Below is a video of the Panther Portal experience.

Through out the team presentation the team addressed the problem and showed stakeholders the current system and how the team addressed the problem.
